Doe and Hare in the Forest

This was made as a christmas gift for a good friend of mine. I attached several pictures showing my process.

Final piece after fixing values and composition

I started with the background and sketched in some birch trees

Next, I moved the horizon up a bit and sketched in the animals. Some minor color correction

I then started rendering the animals

finished the hare and added some purples in the foreground to balance colors

some more details and color correction, also added a light behind the hare
